There are a limited number of slots available for these pathways each year, and they provide permanent residency (PR) to applicants who meet specific qualifications.
It is usually a good idea to prepare ahead of time to ensure that applicants have all they need and meet all the requirements to be admitted into one of these programmes.
Household Assistance There are just a few spaces available in two highly anticipated programmes each year: the Carer Pilot and the Home Childcare Provider Pilot.
Once the programme is offered to new applicants, these slots fill up quickly.
In 2023, the combined number of applications for both pilot programmes in their respective categories was capped to 5,500.

On January 1, 2024, the yearly cap for the Agri-Food Pilot, another alluring but selective immigration programme, will be reset.
Under the Agri-Food Pilot, IRCC reviews up to 2,750 applications for permanent residence annually.
With further modifications on May 18, 2023, this pilot will run until May 14, 2025.
The Agri-Food Pilot Program provides a path to permanent residency for individuals with at least 1 year of cumulative, non-seasonal, full-time work in the past 3 years in one or more of the below-listed occupations.
Agri-Food Pilot has quite low language proficiency requirements for CLB Level 4 in English and French.
In terms of education, only a high school diploma is necessary, according to education credential assessment (ECA).
Canada is now also accepting a union reference letter in case an employer is not providing the experience letter.
